This introductory foundation unit aims to give the student an insight into the history, structure, operations and uses of information technology and their impact on society. This will be complemented by hands-on use of computers to utilize office applications package. Through these experiences students will gain a basic understanding of the uses of computers and the skills necessary to become an entrepreneur.
